Magar Makes It Official: The People Will Have A Choice

BATON ROUGE, LA – Kristian Magar, Ph.D., the Conservative candidate for Congress in Louisiana’s third congressional district, filed official campaign paperwork with the Secretary of States’ Office in Baton Rouge today.
Magar, a Republican whose message resonates strongly among T.E.A. Party members, has been in the race since filing Federal paperwork last October. Using his limited funds he has given the more financially-established candidates a proverbial ‘run for their money’.

Magar said, “Taking large donations from a handful of donors has not been a part of my strategy. It is important for the People of the third congressional district to see that even in politics much can be accomplished with a limited amount of money.” Magar compared his campaign to General Washington’s army that survived the cold winters with few resources.

“Our country is broke. We need representatives who don’t just print ‘conservative’ on their yard signs and then spend other people’s money like they are already in Congress,” Magar said. “We need leaders who know how to make something out of next to nothing. That’s why we are demonstrating fiscal conservatism in this campaign. We must stop training our candidates to be politicians who constantly spend the People’s money and then ask for more, whether it’s through taxes or $500 per plate campaign fundraisers,” Magar said.

Magar has proven himself to be the candidate of the People. “I’m not a career politician. I’m not an attorney. I’m a husband, a father and a businessman. The People deserve a representative who will represent them and not try to rule them. For too many elections the people have been presented not with the best candidate but rather the best candidate big money can buy.” Magar said. “Today, and this fall, the People of the third congressional district finally have a choice.”
