According to the last independent poll we are only 5 points away from making the runoff in the race to represent LA’s 3rd Congressional District. We have accomplished this despite having only spent $12,000, and having no name recognition when we started. This success is a direct result of our supporters’ willingness to spread the word about our campaign through tried and true word of mouth advertising.
When I started this campaign, every politician I spoke to told me the same thing. They said that I could not win, that I did not have the right ‘political’ connections, that I would not have the several hundreds of thousands of dollars it would take to win. They all assumed that I would try to run my campaign like a typical politician. They were wrong. I am not asking for BIG political donations from the party establishment. I reminded them that David was a boy.
David was not a warrior. He could not fit the king’s armor, but with a sling and a smooth stone he struck down a giant. Now, I give new people I meet a marble to remind them of this. (1 Samuel 17)
If you agree with me that big donations from a few political donors is not healthy for our democratic republic then I need your help. I need you to help me prove that we can in fact get our message out without taking large amounts of money from a few big donors.
Will you stand with me as we face off against political giants? We must not be intimidated by the ‘impossible’. Over 230 years ago farmers, merchants and craftsmen did the unthinkable. They did the impossible. They stood firm against a tyrannical king and expelled the greatest military force in the world at that time from this land we call America. Now it is our turn to stand firm against a tyrannical government. Fortunately, we do not have to pick up arms. Our founding fathers left us with more powerful weapons for use against an overreaching government, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. These words and an educated and engaged citizenry are all the ammunition we need to restore our nation and our liberties.
As we approach the celebration of our independence, let me close with this question. What are you willing to do to preserve the blessings of liberty?
Will you:
1. Forward this message to your friends and family?
2. Make a commitment to thoroughly research all the candidates and not automatically go with the name you know?
3. Make a small campaign contribution to the candidate of your choice?
I would like to thank you for all your support and encouragement thus far. I especially want to thank those of you who have emailed me to let me know that you continue to pray for me and my family during this campaign. It means a great deal to me especially when I know that we face some serious challenges in our district and our nation. I have no doubt, however, that together we will overcome these obstacles. If we are willing to sacrifice as our forefathers did, America’s best days are still ahead of us.
In liberty,

Thats good to hear Kristian! I'm glad to see you are gaining momentum. What were the poll numbers?
What is the independent poll referred to in this post. It's not good practice to refer to any poll without a reference or link where people can see the results for themselves and find out the methods used to conduct it.
Bryan,
They poll I was referring to was conducted by a conservative D.C. PAC. I asked the person who sent out the results if I could get more details, but they were not willing to share the data since it was a private poll that included several races from around the country. I apologize for not being able to provide more information. If I come across any more detailed data that someone is willing to share I will post it.
